A personalized, whole-child education needs someone who sees each student as a person. At Montfort, the counseling department (DECE) and the mentoring team do that work together.
Counseling (DECE)
The Student Counseling Department supports students emotionally and academically. It is led by psychologist María Belén Astudillo.
Mentoring
Mentoring follows each student and family closely. Our mentor is Pamela Avilés.
Bullying prevention
Healthy relationships are a priority. The DECE and mentoring team lead prevention, detection and response protocols and train all staff on an ongoing basis. We run talks and workshops for students, teachers and families, and in any situation we support the students involved and stay in close contact with families.
Parent talks
Parent talks are one of the Montfort traditions, because education works when school and home work together.
